Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is less than two weeks away from being released in theatres. The film will be a key entry into Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know that the film will explore alternate realities within Marvel’s multiverse. With that in mind, let’s take a look at five of the most powerful reality altering beings in Marvel Comics!

Scarlet Witch

We can’t do a list about reality manipulation without including the Scarlet Witch herself, Wanda Maximoff. With her chaos magic, Wanda is capable of rewriting reality itself. Her father Magneto found that out firsthand during the House of M event, when Wanda changed the fate of the entire mutant race with three simple words: “No more mutants.”

Sentry

Robert Reynolds, aka the Sentry, is a human mutate with powers that far exceed that of most any other superhero within the pages of Marvel Comics. The Sentry’s various abilities are too plentiful to share in one go, but to sum them up, he has the power of one million exploding suns. The Sentry is so powerful, that he once wrote himself out of existence completely. In order to save the world from his alter ego the Void, Sentry erased the memories of himself and everyone on Earth.

Legion

David Charles Haller is the son of Charles Xavier, and in the mutant world is known as Legion. He is an Omega-level mutant with the ability to alter time and reality on a cosmic scale. What makes him so much more dangerous for having these powers is that he also suffers from dissociative identity disorder. This means that his abilities vary depending on which of his personalities are currently dominant. It is said that Legion has more than one thousand different personalities, and can create more depending on the situation. Legion is responsible for creating the Age of Apocalypse timeline.

Franklin Richards

The Fantastic Four are known as the first family of Marvel Comics. Reed Richards and Sue Storm had two children, Franklin and Valeria. Franklin is the older of the two, and from a young age he exhibited a number of psionic powers. He was once sought out as a pawn to change all of reality by the malevolent entity known as Onslaught. In order to save the lives of the Fantastic four and the Avengers in their battle against Onslaught, Franklin created a pocket universe where he subconsciously transported the heroes for an entire year.

Molecule Man

Owen Reese is a diminutive man from all appearances. However, much like the Sentry, Molecule Man is an insanely powerful being. His powers can be explained simply enough. Reese can control matter itself, down to the molecular level. Though he once subconsciously blocked his own abilities, Reece is now fully capable of controlling them. He is able to warp reality throughout the entire multiverse. His primary purpose however, is to act as a living bomb, capable of destroying the entire universe upon his own death.
