“It’s a brave new world, Shaw. And I finally get to be the queen you trained me to be.”

Once holding the title of “White Queen” of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost found herself at odds with the X-Men during the Dark Phoenix saga. Years later, Ms. Frost reformed and became an ally to the team. She eventually became a full-fledged member, even holding a leadership role. She is notoriously known for her psychic love affair with Scott Summers while he was married to Jean Grey.

Sculpt & Design – 5 out of 5 stars

+ Stunning Depiction

+ Portrait is perfection

+ Modernized costume with a classic twist

+ Masterful base design

We are used to XM Studios delivering top-notch statues, but this is easily one of their greatest sculpts of all-time. It is an absolute masterpiece.

When it comes to female character designs, XM Studios have hit their stride as of late. Much like the character often does, Emma Frost now stands alone at the top. The alluring White Queen is flawless in her more modern outfit. Her presentation also has a classic feel, as Emma kneels on her vintage Hellfire Club chair.

Emma looks amazing in her Astonishing outfit, which is expertly designed to mirror the comic book. She is wearing leggings that merge directly into her heeled boots. There are plenty of intricate designs sculpted into both the leggings, as well as her full arm-length gloves. She also dons her vintage cape, which rests partially on the beautifully crafted Hellfire chair.

Emma’s portrait is beautiful, and may be the greatest female portrait XM Studios has ever crafted. She has a confident and determined look upon her face. Her eyes are piercing and her lips are full. As she kneels on the chair, Emma’s left hand reaches towards her face, with two fingers placed on her forehead to represent the use of her psychic powers.

Alternatively, Emma comes with another portrait, which represents her days as the Hellfire Club’s “White Queen.” Her hair is shorter and she has a mischievous smirk on her face. She also has an alternate left arm, which reaches outward, and can hold a small crystalized rose, representing her secondary mutant power which allows her to turn into diamond.

Not to be outdone by Ms. Frost, the design of the leather Hellfire Club chair is remarkable. The chair rests on a circular marble floor base. The carvings on the legs and the leather cushioning of the chair look life-like. The club’s logo is engraved on the back as well.

Paint – 4.5 out of 5 Stars

+ Elegant base finish

+ Near-perfect skin tones

This statue features an excellent paint-job. The golden legs and trim of the Hellfire Club chair looks phenomenal, and the dark red leather is on-point.

Emma’s costume is mostly white, but also has a silver to blue tint to it as well. Her skin tone looks great, and the blonde in her hair is aptly applied. Her striking blue eyes look amazing. The red lipstick applied to her first portrait is full and lush. On the short-haired portrait, Emma’s icy silver lipstick throws back to her more sinister days with the Hellfire Club.

Value – 4.5 out of 5 Stars

+ Unmatched Beauty

+ Excellent display options

Hands down, this is a perfectly sculpted statue of Emma Frost. The brush work is also near-flawless, and the various changeable pieces provide added value. Better yet, the two portraits are distinctly different. The long-haired portrait is representative of Emma Frost’s modern X-Men affiliation, while the short-haired portrait represents her villainous years as the White Queen. This makes her fit into your hero or villain shelf. This piece retails at SGD $1,150.00, and the Prestige price is $1,035.00.
